I recently returned from 10 days on the road. I was nervous because it was the longest continuous business trip I have been on. I was amazed to realize I returned more energized and inspired than when I left.
Curious, I stopped to evaluate what was different on this particular trip. The big difference, it turns out, was the people I was spending time with. We were in tune, in alignment. We shared a common purpose and that was energizing! I have a new standard when deciding which opportunities to schedule. I choose the ones that create the chance to spend time with people who energize me! What energizes you? And how do you create more opportunities to get it? Every day. Not just the weekends, on vacation and in retirement. |
