What do you think would be the best job in the world?
In January 2009 Tourism Queensland embarked on a global search to fill "the best job in the world: The search was on for an island caretaker to explore the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland Australia and report back to the world about their experiences. The offer was a salary of AUD $150,000 for a six month position with live-in luxury accommodation on Hamilton Island and the opportunity to explore all that the region has to offer. Whatever happened to the guy who won the contest for the job billed as the best in the world? Check out Ben's blog for an update. http://www.islandreefjob.com/ I LOVE MY JOB! Sounds corny to some but I do love my job. I help others create the work experience they love. And the more impossible it seems to the person that they can get what they really want, the more challenging and fun it is for me. I know that everyone can find work they love and I get hugely curious about what it will take for them to find it. Some clients make changes to improve their experience and stay with the same organization. Others seek out new opportunities and mount a job search campaign. What all have in common is getting clear about what motivates them in their work, making the necessary decisions to start the journey and getting into action. Who do you know who loves their job? I welcome an introduction - perhaps we can share their inspiring story through this blog. |
